Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21 ESV)
I have had so many different plans throughout my life. I plan for one thing and then do the exact opposite a week later. Oh I’ve had many plans. How about you?
It is comforting to know that God has only one plan. He does not plan one thing and then perform the opposite a week later.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 ESV)
“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. (Malachi 3:6 ESV)
I think the trick may be to seek to conform our plans with his. I don’t know how it could be possible to know the secret will of God. He has decreed what will come to pass and that knowledge is not revealed to me or you. He has however stated his revealed will (plan) plainly in the Scriptures. If you and I were more grounded in the Scriptures, it would surely appear that our plans would become more and more conformed to his purposes that will always stand.
