By Proverbs 21:22 – A wise man scales the city of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust.
Strength of arms has no chance against the man of wisdom. The man of wisdom has the strength of reason to scale the walls of a city and win the people from strongholds in which they are bound. He is able to do this with purity, peacefulness, gentleness, mercy, impartiality, sincerity, and openness to reason; so says James 3:17. For those things accompany the wisdom that is from above.
A wise person does not seek to destroy others by force, but through strong reason and good conduct. This is the person who will have willing followers and not followers that are bound by shackle and chain.
If you want to lead in any measure, you must grow in the wisdom that is from above. If you do this, people will trust and follow you as you are following Christ.
