By “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV)
We cannot be told to do something in which God himself is not first and foremost our example. We are told our labor for the Lord ought to be steadfast and immovable. Therefore God’s work toward us is always abounding in steadfast and immovable grace.
Do you ever feel that God is distant because it does not appear to you that he is working? Every promise to you in Christ is yeh and amen. Even if you are faithless, he remains faithful. God is immutable and can never change, therefore his work toward you is always steadfast and immovable.
Go therefore and do likewise. Because like God, your labor is never in vain.
