Do I Love Him Enough

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Christians were crucified alongside Jesus Christ years ago at Calvary. So I died, and you died; and yet we still live. The life we now live is to be lived by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave himself up for us. The text teaches us that it is no longer us who lives through our body any longer, but Jesus who lives his life through us. The exchange here is that he lived his life for me when he walked upon the earth so that I do not have to die in judgement any longer. If I am his, I am to consider myself dead to my own passions now, and to let him live through me today. If I am not willing for him to live through me today, how could I think he would have been willing to die for me then. So the question on the table is that if Jesus loved me and gave himself up for me, do I love him enough to give myself up for him? Do you?
