By Proverbs 15:14 “The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.”
The understanding man feeds on knowledge, the fool feeds on folly.
How is your appetite? When your soul in hungry what types of things do you feed it with? We often times will place food in our mouth not because we are hungry, but because we are bored. Eating food gives us something to do. The food we place in our mouth is either good for us or bad; it will either strengthen our body or cripple it. When we are spiritually bored we feed our soul as well. We will either feed on things that will strengthen us (knowledge), or things that will cripple us (folly).
The wise and understanding person will use those times of boredom to feed their soul with knowledge. The fool uses those moments to feed on folly. Which type of person are you?
