Prayer For The Morning

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” (‭Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭13‬ ESV)

Dearest Lord,

Thank you for your help this last week. You have held the right hand of my family and driven out our fears. It amazes me again this morning to see from your word that you are my God. The truth that you have descended to my level, taken hold of my right hand, helped me, forgiven me, and promised me an eternal home in heaven is most gracious and undeserving. How could I fear? You know O Lord that we are so prone to fear and wander. Over and over again you repeat the words “fear not.” Yet again and again we forget. Throughout this day, be pleased to bring the truth of this verse into our minds. Forgive me for not knowing you as I ought. You are making a point in this verse to remind me of your character; YOU are the Lord my God. YOU are the one who says I am not to fear. YOU are the one who is helping me. Teach me O Lord who you are. Let not your words or thoughts depart from my mind, nor let my heart grow cold and unresponsive. Glorify yourself this and every day through my simple little family. Let not one soul that resides under this roof be lost to the world, the flesh, or the devil. Grant me the strength to fight for you, your truth, and your purposes. Coming before you washed in the blood of my Redeeming King Jesus, I say Amen!
