Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
My first day back to work yesterday was fine. I was installing a new air handler with a sheetmetal person I had never worked with before. The hardest thing that happened was when he asked me how many kids I had. I paused for a second and simply said four; how about you? When I arrived home we had 14 cards in the mailbox waiting to be brought out of the cold and into our home so that they might bring us comfort. Thank you to those of you who sent such blessings. This morning I went through all of the card we have received and listed all of the Bible verses that could be found. The list totaled 33 verses, lyrics to 2 songs, and the footprints poem. The verse quoted at the top of this post is the first on my list. Over the next month or so I gave a goal to ponder, pray, and write about each one. We will see how that goes with the amount of time I find to do such things. The morning moments are almost already gone. Maybe I will save the verse above for tomorrow.
Karie slept on the recliner again last night. When I walked out of the bedroom, dressed and ready for my coffee this morning; she was already up and weeping over an email she received. It was 4:30. It might be a hard day.
Indeed I am going to save Isaiah 41:10 for another morning. Blessings to you this day. Swim in the grace of the Lord today. His hand is firmly under your belly, upholding you with his righteous right hand. He has let our faces fall under the water for a brief time theses past few days, yet we are not eager to come up for air quite yet. We know that his hand has not left us to swim on our own. Fear not.
