Psalms 67:1 “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah“
Yesterday I asked for prayer and mentioned that I would not be able to make it to Karie's midwife appointment. Well, as God would have it, I was able to squeeze out of work for the hours needed to make most of it. Thank you for praying.
The appointment was pretty somber without many things to report. They want Karie to proceed with a gestational diabetes test in a few weeks to ensure the health of my wife and not so much for Mercy. They want us to do another ultrasound in five weeks from now. Our midwife told us they would use those images to their discretion and show us more or less of what we wanted or needed to see. They can add a kind of "flesh" coloring now when they do 3D imaging to give a better picture of what baby actually looks like in the womb. It's pretty amazing really. We saw those kind of pictures of Mercy at our second ultrasound in the cities the day we found our about her trisomy 13. We will also need to meet with an OB doctor to try and move Mercy from her transverse position if she does not move on her own. We want to avoid a C-Section. We heard Mercy's heartbeat. Karie mentioned to me that her heart sounded weak and faint. I just thought the dopler was turned down. 😒
Below is a copy of the prayer request of my wife that she wrote to a few friends via email. It would be appropriate to post it here as well. Thank you for your continual thoughts, prayers, and encouragements. Blessings to you. Scott
Please pray for wisdom, grace and mercy for us as we approach this third trimester. Sad and uncomfortable appointments are approaching. We will need to start making arrangements and decisions for a funeral home and all that involves 😔.
Thank you dear friends, we sincerely appreciate you, your prayers and many encouraging words. The Lord has been keeping us upheld and our eyes upon Him. I want that to continue and that His glory shine through this!
Much love, Karie
