10-The supreme judge by which all controversies of religion are to be determined, and all decrees of councils, opinions of ancient writers, doctrines of men, and private spirits, are to be examined, and in whose sentence we are to rest, can be no other but the Holy Spirit speaking in the Scripture.[24]

Yesterday in the business section of my rss news feeds, I read an article in Fast Company called 4 Reasons Why Being Selfish Is Good For You. I thought, “really? What saith the Scriptures?” This is a question you should always be asking yourself. The Scriptures are to be the one source we are to go to in everything. It holds all things necessary for life and godliness. There is not another source or person who can determine what is true or false with pinpoint accuracy like the Bible.

Matthew 22:29–31 Jesus answered them, “You are deceived, because you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels in heaven. Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read what was spoken to you by God:

Ephesians 2:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.
