By 1 John 1:7b … “the blood of Jesus his son cleanses us from all sin.”

Without the shed blood of Jesus, there would be no forgiveness of sin. The blood of Jesus is the cleansing fountain from which all forgiveness flows. And when the blood of Jesus purifies us, it cleanses us from all of our sin, both in this life and the next.
1 John 3:6 states that “no one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen or known him.” It is true that you and I will never be made perfect on this side of eternity. Yet it is also true that we can not remain in our sin either. The Lord does not leave his children to wallow in the mire of their sin, he delivers them. From 1 John 1:7b and 3:6, do you see this as true? Believing these truths is what catapults us onto holiness. For believing them is having faith in the God who declared them. And without faith, it is impossible to please him.
We are saved by faith, sanctified by faith, and will enter eternal glory by faith!
