GUARDING OUR MOUTH #devotions

Proverbs 13:3 Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

  • Read Hebrews chapter 2

Do you want your life to be in total shambles? Then speak everything that comes to your mind and it surely will. The wisdom of God today tells us that our life will, in general, come to ruin if we do not place a guard over our mouth. To guard a prisoner is to make sure that he does not escape. But is also is to open the cell door and escort him around to necessary places. To place a guard over our mouth is much like that.

(QUESTIONS FOR THE KIDS)

  1. How have you guarded or not guarded your mouth today?
  2. How have you experienced this truth in your life in the past? (We commonly call this placing your foot in your mouth).
