By Hebrews 13:16
“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
Sharing pleases God. To my shame, I do not recall ever telling my kids that. I have told them to share, but never because it makes their Father in heaven happy.
Sharing is a sacrifice. Sacrificing is often not easy and we all probably know too well how hard it can be to share our time or our things with others. We tend to be a selfish people by nature and sharing cuts us to the core.
I thank God today that Jesus was not selfish while he was on the earth. I am thankful that Jesus shared all that he had and all that he was. He is the ultimate sharer who made our Father so happy that we are now considered pleasing to God through faith in the One who shared it all!
