John 1:9 “The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.”
These two words light are not the same greek word. The first word means emanating, or source light. The second light means to give light, cause to exist. So it seems to me that this verse could easily be translated something like, “The true source of light, which causes everyone to exist by his emanating light, was coming into the world.”
This way of translating it is helpful for me to understand what is being said.

If you decide to participate in doing these devotions with your family; know that we are doing them right along side you. May the Lord add his blessing to his Word and your desire to serve him through day by day devotions.
