By Matthew 25:34
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘ Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
It is quite astonishing that the destiny of the Christian is to inherit a kingdom of blessing which God has been preparing since the foundation of the world.
We may not always feel blessed of the Father in this life, but we have a sure, eternal kingdom of blessing awaiting us when we either die, or Jesus returns. Jesus himself tells us that he will call us to come.
We may not have an earthly inheritance awaiting us at the death of a parent or grandparent. But we have an eternal inheritance of blessing awaiting us when we die.
When most of us were born, we had a room prepared for us by our parents when they first conceived of our birth. Yet this does not even compare with the kingdom that God has been preparing for us ever since he conceived of birthing the entirety of creation.
We may have never met a king, yet one day we will meet the King of kings and the Lord of lords. And he himself will speak to us, come.
