By Tonight at church we are celebrating “Reformation Day” with the children. Another man from the church has ordered the events of the evening where the children will learn the bankruptcy of indulgences. My role will be to storm in as Martin Luther and explain how this practice of indulgences oppresses and tears apart the people of God. Also that this practice has NO biblical warrant. Then I will give the gospel to the children to show that salvation is by grace alone, through faith, in Christ alone.
I thought it would be fitting to watch a 22 minute clip on the life of Luther. You can watch this clip with your children HERE. It includes his famous “Here I Stand” speech. Enjoy!
